Review of CIPA Mirrors CM01877

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Pontoon Boat Mirror. This rectangular mirror mounts to your pontoon boat so you can see better as you navigate on the water. The unit features the adjustable bracket, which is located right here. This lets you position the mirror for the perfect view. It does offer 180 degrees of secure positioning, so that's going to allow for out of the way storage. All you have to do is loosen up this thumb knob, right here, and as you do that, you can rotate that bracket and change the positioning of the mirror. That way if you're putting on the boat cover, all you've got to do is loosen that up, rotate it out of the way, and then when you're ready to set it back in place, you just tighten down the thumb screw.

That's all there is to it.It's a really nice design. It features a convex mirror face that provides a wide angle view. The mirror head is on like a ball and socket joint, so you can rotate that to wherever you need it to be, so you can get the angle you need.Again, it's constructed out of a rustproof aluminum construction and it has a nice black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion, to look good, and last a long time. So, no drill installation. The bracket clamps on to the boat rail. Uses this area right here.

This measure about 5 and a half inches long and you just place it on to the boat rail and then you tighten down these right here. Now this is designed to fit boat rails up to an inch and a quarter, that's the distance that we have right here in this gap. The mirror head itself measures 11 and one-eighth of an inch long by 3 and seven-eighths of an inch tall and when you're ready to extend it, it's got a telescoping design too, so you loosen that up and then you can extend this out. So maximum extension is around 20 inches. Then when you're ready to bring it back down, loosen this up, slide it down, tighten that up, and you can adjust it anywhere in between maximum extension and fully retracted. That's going to do it for today's look at the CIPA Pontoon Boat Mirror.
