Can Thule Hitching Post Pro Tilt with Bikes Loaded

Question:

Hi, Im wondering if this rack can tilt back while being loaded with the bikes or not? Thanks for the help!

The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR was not designed to tilt with bikes loaded as the anti-sway cages that hold the bikes and prevent movement were not designed to support the weight of a tilted bike. Plus the rack would be incredibly heavy as you'd be lifting the weight of 4 bikes at a time.

Best option would be a swing away bike rack like the SportRack Ridge Swing part # SR2415 which can swing out with bikes loaded to give you complete access to the rear cargo area. Check out the review video I attached for more info on this rack.
