Question:

Hi, I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland that comes with 235/50R19 tires. the owners manual doesnt say anything about snow chains for that particular tire size. I know the distance from the inside sidewall to the struts are really tight. I tried calling my Jeep dealer and Jeep corporate customer service, with no answer to my question... so sad. I live in California and go to the Sierras often in the winter. Cal-Trans and CHP have strict rules regarding having snow chains available even with a 4X4 that isnt required to have chains on at the time. Is there a snow chain that would work, or am I left out in the cold... no pun intended. Thanks,

My recommendation for your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland are the Konig Tire Self-Tensioning Snow Chains # th02230k55. These are a Class S chain that you often see required for large, aftermarket tires. Clearance is a concern using snow chains and it sounds like something you're seeing as well with the distance between the inside sidewall and struts.

Since these Konig chains only ride on your vehicle's tread, they are an ideal solution for trucks and SUVs with limited clearance. Especially if your 235/50R19 tires are not standard factory tires but larger, a Class S chain is what we recommend. I've included a listing of those chain options for you to review as well.
