Question:

Hi There, Im having trouble sorting out which bike carriers will fit on my 2020 Prius prime with the stock Toyota cross bars which appear to be very close to 3 1/4 inch wide. Cross bars are here: https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__Prius-Prime/Removable-Cross-Bars-With-Keys/76193487/PW30147009.html I prefer a fork mount if possible. Thanks in advance

Although it's a pretty good entry-level roof mount bike rack, The # S64710 Fork Down bike rack wouldn't be a fit around the crossbars you specified. If you choose a rack at a slightly higher price point, you'll find that they attach to the roof rack via the top channels or grooves in the crossbar.

The Inno # INXA391 Fork Lock would attach in this manner, so it won't matter how wide the crossbar is. The rack is compatible with bikes with a 9mm quick release skewer and will work with bikes with disc brakes. The rack is also lockable to the roof rack and to the bike.
