Does Bumper Need to be Removed for Stealth Hitch on 2020 Subaru Outback

Question:

Very interested in the Stealth 391SUOB20 hitch for my 2020 Subaru OUtback. Can you explain a bit on how it's actually installed? I'm assuming the bumper needs to be removed for it? Thanks.

You are right that the rear bumper/fascia will need to be temporarily removed during installation of the Stealth Trailer Hitch # 391SUOB20 on your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon (it will be put back on). Because of the extremely hidden design of this hitch, the install process is a bit more intricate compared to standard models. The crosstube on the hitch will actually get sandwiched between the chassis beam and factory reinforcement beam for a uniquely sturdy attachment. This also allows you to maintain the vehicle's existing ground clearance once the receiver piece is removed, which is especially important for your Subaru Outback.
