Question:

I have a qx-3202 quest CD player for my 2007 camper and I would like to replace it. It’s opening is 8.11”W. And 9.76” H with a 12v 5A hook up. What could I replace this with ?

I have a solution for you, but there is not a stereo that we have available that is the same size as your Quest QX3202. I recommend replacing your old unit with theiRV RV Stereo - Double DIN - HDMI, AUX, Bluetooth, App Control - 50W - 3 Zone - 12V Item # IRV64FR which requires a mounting space 6-11/16" wide x 3-15/16" tall x 6-11/16" deep. This is the closest match when it comes to specs and required opening size. The iRV64FR can provide stereo sound throughout your RV/travel trailer from an AUX/USB cord connected to your smart phone, as well as HDMI and Bluetooth connectivity. This unit can also play CDs and DVDs, so it's a fantastic all in one multimedia solution for your camper that will replace not only your stereo system, but your DVD player as well.

You would need to fabricate some type of veneer to cover the space created when mounting this in your old stereo's location; I've seen a lot of customers use a piece of plywood or MDF and have it painted the same color as the cabinet in order to provide a more clean installation look, but it isn't necessary.

Referring to The article about the Quest QX3202. Ours just out of the blue started making a constant high pitched sound. The alarm is not sit on it. We had to pull it out of the wall and disconnect it to make it stop. Any ideas what it could be would be appreciated.

@Debbie The amp is probably damaged and would require replacing the entire thing. But there's off chance it just needed to be reset by pulling the power like you did. Have you tried powering it back on?

@JamesonC we did pull the power and let it sit a day. When we plugged it back in it didnt make the sound. So fingers crossed that helped it. Thank you.

@Debbie Yeah it probably had a weird internal glitch and that reset it. Strange stuff but at least it stopped!
