Question:

I was wondering if this could be mounted to the rear license plate mount with the lights on top? Was considering a backup light for the truck when we are towing the camper. We could possibly use this for connect/disconnect during dark hours with the RV. Is there a better option for RV truck/trailer backup lights?

This light bar is designed to attach to the included mounting bracket, which attaches to existing holes in your vehicle. The Putco High Power Luminix Off-Road Light Bar w License Plate Mount is intended to be installed either way, with the light bar on top of or under the license plate. For what you're needing it for, this sounds like the perfect solution to illuminate the area between your tow vehicle and camper while hitching or unhitching after dark. The light features a toggle switch so it can be easily turned on and off but a wireless remote, part # P8770F that has a 30 foot range is available separately.
