Question:

We’re purchasing a new Heartland Big Country 5th Wheel. Dry Weight approx 12,500lbs Total loaded weight up to 16000lbs. Looking for recommendations on a air self leveling kit for the truck. Not sure I need one but doing research to evaluate options.

For a trailer as heavy as what you'll be towing you will see pretty significant sag so an air bag kit is going to be a really good idea to prevent that. For an air bag kit confirmed to fit your 2016 Ford F-250 that is also compatible with in-bed fifth wheel rail kits you'd want the Firestone kit part # F2597. This has the highest quality air bags too which means it will last you a long time and you wouldn't have to worry about bag failure.

For a compressor kit then the heavy duty part # F2097 will make inflating the bags and maintaining them very easy. The compressor will inflate faster than standard compressors and the gauge inside the vehicle will allow you to monitor and inflate them from inside the vehicle as well.
