The instructions linked to the page for the Mounting Kit # 40-033PK, which is for the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-0335 that fits your 2004 GMC Yukon SLT look a little different because the online instructions are from the kits that pre-date 2009. In 2009 Westin changed where the brackets were made so the kit # 40-033PK is the newer version with the new style brackets. The instructions that come with this kit will highlight the new brackets. It's worth noting that the new brackets have to be paired with a grille guard that is made after 2009 as they won't be compatible with the older version of the grille guard.

With that being said, the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard that came off of the 2004 Chevy Tahoe is part # 40-0185 and requires the Mounting Kit # 40-018PK. Since grille guards and their mounting hardware are vehicle specific you unfortunately won't be able to mount the grille guard you purchased with the Westin mounting hardware for your vehicle.

Your best option is to sell your current grille guard and then purchase part # 40-0335 which is a fit for your '04 Yukon and comes with the mounting hardware.
