You are correct that the base plates that fit your 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman (with the exception of the S model) are the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1316.

Along with base plates there are a number of other parts you'll need to flat tow your '18 Countryman, which I'll list for you.

The Alpha Tow Bar is a great option because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cables which means you don't have to make an additional purchase. I really like the Flexo-Coil wiring kit because it is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Mini's electrical system safe, and the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO is strongly recommended because it not only gives you effective braking, but is a one-time install which will never require any type of removal or reactivation.
