Question:

Hello, we are thinking of towing one time our 2012 F250 behind a Diesel Pusher, then after that a new Jeep will become our TOAD. Is there a set-up that can be somewhat useable for both?

We do have a variety of products that can easily be transferred between flat towing setups!

For your 2012 Ford F-250 I recommend the following:

Demco Classic Base Plate Kit - # DM9517220
Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar - # DM9511013
Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights - # TL21RK
Blue Ox Patriot Portable Supplemental Braking System - # BLU37TR

You might also need a high-low adapter (although Demco does have some adjustability in their tow bars) to ensure your tow bar is within the safe operating distance. I have attached a helpful article and a link to our selection of adapters for you to filter through.

All of these parts are transferable to a different vehicle save for the base plate kit because it is vehicle specific. Demco has adapters for almost every base plate kit out there though which is one reason why I recommended their tow bar. To use the Blue Ox Patriot II with a second vehicle you just need the Breakaway Kit # BRK2505.
