Locating Brake Controller Connector on 2005 Nissan Titan

Question:

the 3050-p does not plug into my 05 Titan per wired plug this is the second plug Ive purchase what gives ? what Im I doing worng. Nissan shows the plug with the white tape under the drivers dash by the e. brake... but it wont plug into the plug no matter what why I try help

So what you are saying is that the plug physically will not insert into the connector, is that right?

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha, who tells me that you might be looking at the wrong connector under the dash. He said that the connector you are looking for is actually pretty difficult to find. It is located above the emergency brake pedal, and is easier to see and access if the emergency brake is engaged.

The wiring harness should have a tag taped to it that says Electric Brake Connector, as shown in the photo I have provided. The harness is actually taped in place, if you carefully cut the tape that secures it to the other harness, you can pull the connector down a bit so that it is easier to access.

There is another possibility. Nissan has done some strange stuff over the years with the wiring systems of their vehicles. On some XE models, a different brake controller harness is used and you'd need to cut the plug off and hardwire it to the brake controller pigtail, as shown in the video I've linked for you.
