Question:

forums show that lexus owner manual says not to install for bike racks- any comments? Seems like no big deal.

The Curt Mfg. Trailer Hitch, # C11200, will definitely fit on the 2011 Lexus CT200h vehicles, but you must abide by the manufacturers recommendation for towing or carrying items in a trailer hitch mounted on the car.

I did a bit of research online and could not pull up the owners manual for the CT200h, and could only find references for not towing with this vehicle. I did not see any mention of not using a 2 bike rack or a small cargo carrier with the CT200h. You should definitely check the owners manual for your specific vehicle before adding a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike rack.

If you decide to go with a hitch and hitch bike rack, I recommend a platform rack like the Swagman XTC2, # S64670. This rack is easy to mount the bikes on, and folds up nicely for storage when not in use. We have a video review of this rack for you, see link.

When using the Curt Class I trailer hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier on your CT200h, Curt Mfg. requires the use of a stabilizing strap, # 18050, to help relieve some of the stress on the hitch and vehicle frame.
