Question:

Hi, I looking at fitting a Yakima Skybox 12 on Rhino rack platform. I understand that I need some accesories small transversal bars to fit the Skybox on the them. My question, can you confirm that the distance between the 2 clamps on the Yakima Skybox will fit the Rhino Platform 5 planks. They kinda need to fit at the right spot by chance otherwise I dont see how the clamps will be able to clamp on the acccessorie transvers of the Rhino rack. Thanks in advance for your guidance on this.

The clamps for the Yakima SkyBox 12 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y07334 are 21" apart on center and they are somewhere in the range of 1" to 1-1/4" wide.

We actually have reached out to Rhino-Rack about cargo boxes fitting with the Pioneer rack and they have said that all of their cargo boxes are compatible with the rail spacing on the Pioneer. I'm not sure if the SkyBox spacing is compatible but from my understanding it is unlikely that it will fit. For a similar option from Rhino-Rack we have the Zenith MasterFit # RRRMFZ66 should you need to swap cargo boxes.
