Using Paneloc Slam Latch for Work Truck Drawers
Updated 10/03/2019 | Published 10/02/2019 >
Question:
I am wondering if I can use this latch to hold drawers closed in my work van. The latch would be mounted on the front of the drawer with the pin going sideways into the side of the cabinet. I would like to know if you have a strike plate I can use with it. The space between the side of the drawer and the cabinet side is 1/2inch size of drawer slide and I understand from the video there is a 9/16inch pin throw. While a 1/16inch is not much to secure the drawer I think I can make it work if there is a strike plate involved. Thanks for your time.

There is not a specific strike plate that comes with or is compatible with the Paneloc Slam Latch # F707-104Z ; the best potential solution I can offer you is the Valterra Replacement Strike Plate # L32PB060 , but I'm not thinking that is going to be the best solution.
In order to use this the way you're intending you would likely need to fabricate something on your own, or you could potentially source something from your local hardware store.
