A Class V (5) hitch has a higher towing capacity than a Class IV (4) as the higher the Class the higher the capacities basically.
For your 1993 GMC Van the highest hitch Class we offer is a III like the # C31016 which has a 6,000 lb trailer towing capacity and a 600 lb tongue weight capacity.
