Do the Trailer Wiring Harnesses for a 2018 Subaru Outback Have Current Limiting

Do any of your converters for the Subarus have current limiting short cct protection? IE will they be damaged by a short cct.?

Yes, the trailer wiring harnesses we offer for your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon all have current limiting technology or otherwise known as circuit protection. Therefore, if there was a short on the trailer wiring harness and or trailer the vehicle would be protected. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118467 which offers a plug and play install. This is also our most reliable option we have for your Outback. The stop/turn signal circuit will limit anything over 2.1 amps and the tail light circuit will limit anything over 5.6 amps.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch on your Outback, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76227 because of the concealed cross tube which you can see in the attached photo. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver is a completely bolt-on option for the Outback.
