Solution for Stepping Up Into Truck Camper with Cargo Carrier Attached

Question:
I have a truck camper and I need a carpod to haul my generator. I also have to step up into my camper from the back where the pod will be. Will I be able to step on top of the carpod and use it as a step to my camper?

While the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2205 does feature a robust 450 pound weight capacity, I can't recommend standing in or using it as a step. It may be able to hold the weight of a person but it's still going to be relatively unstable and may lead to injury.
What you could use tough is a hitch step like the Buyers Products # 3371804017 that will slide into your existing 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and provide another 2 inch receiver on the other end for the Cargo Carrier. In between it gives you a sturdy steel step to help with getting inside the camper.
Please just keep in mind that the hitch extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by one third. Just be sure that the reduced capacity still meets or exceeds the loaded weight of your carrier (and anybody that might be using the step).
