No Power To Trailer Brakes On a 2004 GMC Sierra 3500

Question:
no trailer brakes every thing on truck works perfectley when connecting the trailer no power on circuit for red wire and signal wires all fuses are good and i had to run a wire from the battery to charge the trailer battery.

If you don't have any power to the brake controller on your 2004 GMC Sierra then most likely you just need to connect the ring terminal under the hood of your vehicle to the battery. I have attached a help article of this process for you as well. There will need to be a fuse inserted as well. If you instead have power to the brake controller but still don't have trailer brakes then use the manual override. If you get power with the manual override then the center high mounted stop light (CHMSL) fuse is bad. If you don't get power with the manual override then you could have a short on the brake output wire or the controller is bad and needs replaced. The Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller part # HM47294 would be plug and play if using the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter part # HM47795.
