How To Uncouple A Trailer With Spring Bars and Air Bags On Truck

Question:

I have a Toyota Tundra as well. The response for hookup process helped a lot. My question involves a hen detaching the travel trailer from my Tundra. Do I just go in reverse order? Take the distribution springs bars off first, lower the trailer using the airbags, then use the trailer’s jack to detach off my hitch? Thank you!

To uncouple your trailer with weight distribution, you don't really need to do anything with the air bags. The best way to take the spring bars off is to use the jack to raise the trailer and the back axle of the truck a little to reduce tension. Then remove the spring bars. You can lower the trailer with the jack and reduce the air bags to become level (if you need to). Then you can uncouple the trailer.
