Question:
Your video addresses installation on a 2004 Ford F150. I have a 2006. It has the factory installed 4 pin connector. Will this kit directly interchange? Will it install like the video shows? What other parts will I need to complete the installatin?

I do have a solution to convert your 4-way connector to a 7-way but first I checked with the manufacturer directly and they confirmed the Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118247 is not compatible with 2006 Ford F150.
I recommend instead the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 as your easiest way to go from a 4-way to 7-way connector because it includes all the wiring to make it fully functional. This kit is designed specifically for kits that already have an existing 4-way connector and includes the pre wired 7-way connector plus all the mounting hardware, wiring, duplex wiring, butt connectors, tie wraps, circuit tester, and more including a step by step guide provided by etrailer.
