The description says these fit most factory criss bars...what is the actual dimensions these brackets will fit on

The etrailer.com J-Style Kayak Carrier # E98878 works well on crossbars that are up to 3-1/8 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches tall. It fits round, square, and aero/elliptical style bars.

I am looking at buying 2 12 ft kayaks.. 37 lbs each 28 inches width. I have a 2018 BMW X5 with BMW rack cross bars on the rails. Will the e99978 fit onto the BMW rails? Thanks

Yes, the etrailer Kayak Carrier # E98878 will fit the factory bars on your BMW X5. Two of these carriers - one at each end of the bars - will work perfectly to load and transport both your kayaks.
