The first troubleshooting step would be to verify if the problem is with the trailer or the vehicle. Use a circuit tester like
# PTW2993 on the left turn signal pin on the truck's trailer connector. If the connector is a 4 pole, test the pin fed by the yellow wire. If it's a 7-way, test the pin in the 9:00 position while the left turn signal is activated.
If you don't get a signal, the problem is with the truck. Go to the fuse panel in the engine compartment and check the yellow 20A fuse in location F53. Replace the fuse, but before plugging the trailer back in, you'll want to find and repair the short circuit in the left turn signal circuit of the trailer that caused the fuse to blow. Trace the yellow wire from the trailer connector back to the lamps. Look for loose connections, pinched wires or cracked or worn insulation and fix or replace as needed.
If you do get a signal on the trailer connector on the truck, then the problem is located somewhere in the left turn circuit on the trailer. Trace the yellow wire from the trailer connector back to its lamp looking for loose or broken connectors.
I'll link you to a help article that will provide more strategies on troubleshooting trailer wiring problems.
