Question:

In the response Jeffrey L gave to Allyson L about Hitch-Mounted Wheelchair Carrier Recommendation For 2013 Jeep Wrangler, he said if she had a powered wheelchair, he could give some recommendations. I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport with a 200lb tongue weight and the mobility scooter is 243lbs, so I think Ill need something that isnt hitch mounted. I couldnt find anything appropriate on your site, but Id gladly accept any recommendations you can give me. I was planning on getting the Etrailer hitch part E98856, as well, but I want to be sure it will work with whatever carrier I find for the scooter. Thank you for your help!

With a 2012 Jeep Wrangler the only way you'll be able to transport a scooter is with a small trailer since the vehicle can't carry more than 200 lbs of tongue weight at the rear of it.

So you would need the etrailer.com hitch part # E98856 that you mentioned, trailer wiring part # C55124, and the ball mount kit part # 989900.

I wish there was a carrier solution or even a small trailer we could recommend but we don't have anything like that at this time.
