will this surf rack work on my Toyota FJ factory crossbars or will I need an adapter?

We have not yet had a chance to test fit the Inno Board Locker Surfboard Carrier The Inno Board Locker # INA744 on the factory bars of a Toyota FJ however, the carrier fits most factory cross bars as long as they are no larger than 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/8" tall which is pretty standard so I do not see you having an issue using this on the FJ. You do want to measure your bars to be sure.

If your bars happen to be taller, you can use the long bolt kit # INISF711 to mount the rack to cross bars 2" tall. You also want to make sure your bars at least 20" apart for the carrier to fit.
