Will Driving Uphill With a Truck Bed Camper Increase Transmission Fluid Temperatures

Question:
Would pulling uphill loaded with a cabover camper on with the 4wheel drive high range engaged without hubs turned in cause the transmition to heat up?

Regardless of your gear selection, if you are loaded or towing the transmission will have to work harder to keep up which then causes an increase in the fluid temperature. If you are loaded and or towing while driving up an incline then the fluid temperatures will be multiplied even further therefore you are likely to see increased transmission fluid temperatures with the scenario that you have laid out.
In order to help keep transmission fluid temperatures down which will then increase performance and extend the life of your transmission, I recommend installing an additional transmission cooler the Derale 19-Row Stacked Plate Cooler part # D51906.
