Recommended Spare Tire Cover for a 245/60-18 Size Tire
Question:
Hi there I read your blurb about how to determine the size of a spare tire cover but I still am confused. My tires are P245/60HR18 ... what size bag would I buy? Should I just measure the size outside on my car from the ground to the top of the tire?

Your 245/60-18 size tire has a 29.6" diameter and measures 9.6" wide. For your application I highly recommend the Bestop Large Tire Cover # B6103035 which has max dimensions of 30" x 10" and comes in a black diamond design that does a great job at protecting your tire from the elements. One thing I really like about this cover is the sewn-in elastic band that provides a tight fit on your tire and doesn't require you to adjust anything.
I have also attached a link to some helpful articles that may help you better understand the dimensions of your tire and what your tire size actually means.
