When using an add-on power drive kit like # BD1824180100 you retain the manual cranking feature which is operated using the hex shaft above the motor.
Other electric jacks such as Bulldog 12K jack # BD185400 and other types such as the Lippert Ground Control Leveling System # LC358590 always include a manual cranking feature that lets you raise and lower the jack manually using a hand crank device in case of a loss of electrical power to the jack motors.
Usually this manual crank feature will be located in a convenient spot on the jack gearbox. On the Ground Control jacks the manual crank feature is located under the rubber plug on the top of the jack (see photo please) and also on the bottom side of the motor. Other jacks like the Bulldog # BD185400 will have a single manual cranking port also on the top of the housing.
