The correct Blue Ox Base Plate Kit for your 2018 Ford Explorer is part # BX2668, not part BX2627 which is for a 2011-15 Ford Explorer. This is a custom fit kit and it has removable arms for a clean look while not in tow (see photo). In order to complete your flat-towing setup you are also going to need a few other parts which I have attached a list of for you below if you are interested.
