Recommended Compressor for 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD with Existing Firestone Air Springs
Updated 05/29/2019 | Published 05/28/2019 >
Question:
I recently bought a used 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD 4x4 and noticed it has a set of Firestone bags under the rear end. I traced the 2 hose lines up the passenger frame rail to just under the cab where I found the lines just cut. Im trying to figure out how to proceed forward with being able to use the helper bags again without needing to buy a whole new kit and kill the budget. Is there a compressor and controller I need? I dont need to control the bags independently I dont believe.

It definitely sounds like the previous owner of your 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD had a compressor system to adjust the Firestone air springs from inside the cab, otherwise the lines from each of the bags you found would likely just be routed to the rear bumper where you would see a couple of valve stems to use for manual filling.
If you want to keep this current setup then you will indeed need a new compressor for which the Firestone Air Command I # F2097 will work perfectly. This includes single path setup compressor (for maintaining equal pressure in both springs) along with the needed air line, fittings, and wiring harness for installation. This kit will include everything needed to complete the existing setup on your truck.
I have attached a short video review and the installation instructions that you can check out as well.
