Transmission Cooler for Towing 5300 lb Trailer in the Mountains for 2007 Chevy Silverado 5.3L
Question:
Will the Derale Transmission Cooler #13102 for a GVW up to 14,000 lbs work for my 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 2 WD New Body style, with a 5.3 Ltr. V8 engine? My trailer GVWR is approx. 5,300 lbs. and I will be towing up mountain areas....

Since you will be towing in the mountains, which is hard on a transmission, I would recommend getting the largest, highest rated transmission cooler that will fit your vehicle. You cannot over cool a transmission. The ideal install location would be in front of the radiator and A/C condenser, right behind the grille.
The # D13102 you mentioned will provide some cooling, but due to the fact that you will be towing up and down mountains, it would be too small for your needs.
The largest cooler available for your truck will be part # D13504. If you follow the provided link to the product description page, and scroll toward the bottom of the page, you can see the dimensions of the cooler, and take some measurements to see if it will fit in the location I described above. It is possible you might need to remove the grill and radiator support to install the cooler. There are two possible fittings you would need to install the cooler. Locate the transmission lines going into the radiator. If a plastic e-clip is used to attach the line at the radiator, use fitting # D13035. Otherwise, use part # D13018.
I will link you to an install video showing a cooler being installed on a different vehicle. The procedure for your truck would be different, but the video will provide you with an idea of what the install will involve.
