Will this rack accommodate the rear mounted spare tire and will it fold down enough to open the swing out door

The compatibility of the Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches part # C18064 with your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler will largely be dependent on two factors, what trailer hitch you have and what size spare tire you have. The Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack part # C18064 measures 10" from the center of hitch pin hole to closest edge of carrier. If you were to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT78MR with a factory spare tire then the Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack would clear by bout 4-1/2" but if you already have a factory trailer hitch you would need to measure this yourself.

That said, the Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack is not going to be able to fold down enough for you to open the rear hatch nor would any of our folding bike racks. Therefore, if this is a feature that you need then you will have no other option but to use a swing-away bike rack. The most cost effective one we have with this feature is the SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack part # SR2415 which measures 9-1/2" from the center of hitch pin hole to closest edge of carrier.
