what are the differences between the hitch for the 2019 Lexus NX300h manufacturer number 12172 and the hitch for the 2016 Lexus NX200t manufacturer number 12143??

The Curt hitches part # C12143 and # C12172 are pretty similar but if you look closely at the side brackets on the hitch you'll see that they are shaped differently to accommodate the different vehicle configurations. If it's ever possible for a hitch to be carried over to a new year vehicle the manufacturers will do so as it's expensive to redesign a new hitch for a vehicle. So they didn't just redesign the hitch without reason.
