Solar Panel Charge Kit Recommendation for Two 6-Volt Batteries Wired In Series on Trailer

I want to store and charge during winter months 6 - 6 volt deep cell batteries hooked up in series and parallel that I would like to build an insulated box on my trailer. That would elevate me having to pull all 6 batteries and bring them home during the winter. I was told that a 10 watt solar panel would be able to keep the batteries charged without hurting the batteries. I would unhook all othe hookups except the solar panel. I want to know if that would keep my batteries warm and not harm them and if a solar charge controller is also necessary in this situation. Thank you

We have a great kit for exactly what you are looking for. The 2.5-Watt Solar Battery Charger # PTW2997 will put a solar 12-volt maintenance charge on your trailer batteries while they are in storage. This kit was basically intended for your exact setup as most install it on the front of the trailer and then route it to the battery box like in the picture I attached. As long as your batteries are wired in series which means their output is 12 volt and you have this attached in series as well it would do a great job to keep the batteries topped off and would not overcharge or damage them. This does not require an additional controller either.

I attached a review video of this charger kit for you to check out as well.
