Question:
I purchased a 2008 E-450 shuttle bus. The frame is 42 1/2 inch outside to outside. And it needs to drop about 6inch to clear the bumper...any suggestions?

For your 2008 Ford E-450 I recommend taking a look at the Draw-Tite Universal Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch # 41990.
This is a weld-on hitch that will fit vehicles that have frame widths of up to 44 inches. You will just need to add the 7" Weld-On Bracket Kit # 4907 for installation, which will also drop the hitch down 7 inches so it can clear the rear bumper. The Class V hitch features a 2 inch receiver opening, a 16,000 pound towing capacity, and a 1,600 pound tongue weight limit.
There is not a custom hitch available that will fit the frame width on your shuttle bus.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can check out as well.
