I wanted to mount this on the back of a travel trailer to hold a bike rack.

The width of a travel trailer frame is going to be wider than what the hitch you referenced would fit most likely. Instead Curt has hitches designed exactly for your application like the part # 13703 which fit frame widths between 22 and 72 inches apart on center. This also gives you a 2 inch opening instead which more bike racks are designed to fit.
