Rear Anti-Sway Bar Compatible with 2019 Fleetwood Southwind K35 with 22000 lb Power Platform Chassis

Updated 05/15/2020 | Published 03/04/2019

Question:

I have a 2019 Fleetwood Southwind K35 with a 22000 lb chassis. The lower shock mount does not look the same as in your videos. My drive shaft has an emergency brake drum at the end next to the rear housing if that helps you ID my model. The shock mount has a flat area that is parallel to the ground instead of on an angle. Will this mount on that surface?

Thanks for reaching out with your VIN. I reached out to Roadmaster and they were able to confirm a fit for you based on it because it clarified your chassis fit. You will want the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar for Motorhomes # RM-1139-149. I've attached a couple videos to help further.

I just bought a 2019 Fleetwood Southwind 34C, no need to say it does not drive nice. What are your recommended items to buy to help this. My ideas 1Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer 2 Ultra Trac Rear Track Bar 3 Rear Roadmaster anit sway bars. also do the CHF front and rear, should I use the Hellwig adjustable end links for the front . If you sell this items can I get the part number for each item. Also the Ford F53 was built in 2018 and Fleetwood selling it as a 2019.Thanks

The Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK22-RSSA, Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-149, and Front Sway Bar # RM-1139-140 will work together to make a WORLD of difference on your Soutwhind RV. You will notice significant improvement right away. I honestly think you should start here and see how it rides before doing anything else - there's a really good chance you'll be completely happy with just this setup.

@ChrisR Good Afternoon Chris, I added the three items as you said on 4/11/20. An you are correct it did make a world of difference. But on our great Louisiana highways and bridges I get a lot of front bounce on the bad road sections. Would you recommend sumo or airbags. Also would you put them on front and rear. If air bags is there one compressor that does front and rear bags. Thanks

@BruceS That's great to hear. I think Louisiana and Missouri have something in common with regards to highways and bridges. I think both a front and rear setup will be best overall and I honestly like the jounce-style springs here instead of air bags. The RV will have a pretty consistent weight - so the adjustability of air bags won't be utilized and the install/maintenance demands a lot more. I specifically recommend the Timbren # TFRF53A for the rear and part # TFFF53B for the front. These springs will do a great job of reducing that bounce.
