My plastic fairing has began to warp due to excess heat. Is this replacement fairing metal?

The Curt Replacement Fairing for Cargo Baskets, item # C18115-FAR, is made of the same acrylic material as the original part supplied on baskets like their # C18115 and # C18115-117. Please note the replacement fairing does not include new mounting hardware; you'll re-use the hardware on the basket.
I do not know of any cargo carrier fairing product that is made of metal. I would suspect this is due to the potential danger of a metal fairing coming loose and causing injury.
