Question:

Rhino-Rack for my civic and eying a different brand cargo box Hello, I’ve only started hear about Rhino rack system after I started to search for a roof rack for my 2017 Honda civic, unlike the other two. My question is: if I plan to run the rhino rack on my car, will I be able to attach different brand accessories to it without any other parts or alterations? Currently I am looking into cargo box for the rack and I particularly do not want to run the rhino box, but rather a Yakima skybox. Thanks.

For your 2017 Honda Civic you will have no problem using a Rhino-Rack roof rack with a Yakima Skybox NX like # Y95AV. Roof boxes and roof racks are compatible between manufacturers, and you won't have crossbar spacing issues.

For a specific fit on a 4 door sedan, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 49" Long # RRVA126B-2, the 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and Custom DK Fit Kit # DK453. This system is rated for 165 lb max capacity. If you have the hatchback, then you will need a different fit kit # DK485 and the capacity will max out at 132 lbs.
