What is Amperage Draw of Rampage Radiant Backseat Heater # RA3501
Updated 02/12/2019 | Published 02/10/2019 >
Question:
Would an ra3501 be suitable for an electric car or would it overload the 12 volt battery. I own a Peugeot ion which I find very good except using the fitted heater makes the range of the car by about 40 per cent.

Expert Reply:
The Rampage Radiant Backseat Heater # RA3501 will draw 25 amps when used which I believe will limit the range of your electric car quite a bit. How much so depends on the vehicle though. You could compare the amperage draw of this to the draw of your current heater to get a decent comparison.
