Does the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit Replace Tow Hooks on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

Question:

Do the pods mount to the Jeep frame where the tow hooks are mounted? Is there a horizontal 36 bar that goes between the left and right pull pod? Looking at other sites this part # has a bar that spans the distance between the left and right frame mount

Yes, you will need to remove the tow hooks on your 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk to install the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519308. If you wanted to use the tow hooks then you would have to uninstall the base plate kit.

There is no horizontal bar that installs behind the front bumper of your Cherokee and goes from one mount to the other. These connect directly to the frame of the vehicle itself. I am not sure what other part numbers you are talking about but I wonder if they are generic photos as we took the ones on our site ourselves.

I have attached both an installation video and the written instructions for you to check out.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
