Question:
Hi there!, My Chevy truck has 265,000Im on it and going strong!. So I want to convert to electric fan or fans. I am on a tight budget and have not ever in my life allowed anyone to touchwork on my vehicles. Ift doesnt do a lot of towing but it sees miles!!!. Please your expertise in airflow surpasses mine and advice or a link to a cheaper kit would be greatly appreciated!!.and it has A/C,engine oil cooler and I believe a transmission cooler as well!! Thank-You!!

Electric fans do improve fuel mileage and power since they allow the accessory belt drive to turn with less resistance. I did the same conversion on an older Camaro years ago and it cooled better, improved mileage, and power. You'll have to measure your current shroud to determine what the best fan setup would be. The Flex-a-lite 15" Black Magic Xtreme Electric Radiator Fan with Shroud # FLX180 measures 21-1/2" wide x 17-1/2" tall x 4-3/16" deep and can pull 3,300 CFM so it would be a great option assuming it matches your current shroud dimensions. This comes with an adjustable thermostat setup too so no other parts would be needed.
