Will it fit 2016 Subaru forester?

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2016 Subaru Forester and it lists a 16W watt W16W bulb for its backup light. This type of bulb can also be interchanged with a 921 bulb which is a bit more common.

The Hopkins Backup Alert # HM20101VA that you referenced will only replace a 3156 bulb so it will not work on your Forester. I may have a solution for you but we do not have a backup alert available that will replace the W16W/921 bulb on your vehicle.

What you can do instead is install a separate backup alarm like the Pollak # PK41820, which will just mount to your Forester and wire to the reverse light circuit wire. This will also be quite a bit louder than the bulb type that you were looking at.
