Question:
If you have to remove the tow hooks to install the HDx double duty westin in a 2016 Ford 150 XLT super crew, what will I use for tow hooks when I need it? What are the disadvantages installing the HDX double duty westin? Thanks

I checked the install instructions for the Westin HDX grille guard part # 57-3835 you mentioned which fits your 2016 Ford F-150 and the tow hooks do need to be permanently removed. If you found yourself in a situation where you were stuck and you needed a recovery point you could wrap a tow strap around the lower crosstube of the guard below the bumper.
