I can definitely help you determine if you have enough room in front of the AC condenser on your 1998 Chevy K1500 but unfortunately I don't have the answer to your question right off the bat.
To determine if you have enough room you simply need to take the dimensions of the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly # D15200 and compare it with the open space in the desired mounting location. This unit measures 15-3/4" wide x 11-1/2 " tall x 5" deep with the mounting locations being 5-1/4" tall x 14-3/4" wide on center (see attached photo).
The beauty of the integrated fan on this assembly is that if you don't have enough room in front of your AC condenser it is still able to provide superior cooling to a standard cooler due to the fan automatically adding airflow.
