Question:
I need a hook big enough to hook around a 1 inch square bar on a truck rack. Retail straps are to small.

The Erickson Big Hook Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # EM05715 that you referenced have two sizes of hooks. The larger swivel hooks can open enough to accept a 1-inch attachment point. The smaller safety hooks open wide enough for 3/8-inch material.
