Question:
I am purchasing and rebuilding a 24 Fleetwood Prowler from the 1970s. It will be rebuilt from the trailer chassis up. The original trailer did not seem to have backup lights, but I would like to add them. there are 4 marker lights on each side, and 3 on the front and back. Would I need to have a 6 or 7 pin harness? Thank you

In order to add reverse lights to a trailer would would need to have a 7-Way on the trailer, like # 50-67-103, and a 7-Way on the vehicle. On the vehicle side, if you are looking at the back of the 7-Way where the wires connect, the reverse light circuit is the center pin. It will need to connect to a reverse light wire behind one of the vehicle tail lights.
On the trailer side the matching pin is again the center pin. So from that pin, you would route wire to reverse lights. Reverse lights need to be white/clear. We have them in many shapes and sizes.
A fairly common one is the Oval Trailer Back Up Light, # BU70CB. Using a grommet, # a70gb, and mounting brackets, # BK70BB, you could mount this light about anywhere. You will need a # A45CB wiring harness as well for each light.
