Horses and horse trailers are pretty heavy. Your best option is to go with the highest hitch classification available for the vehicle. If you have a 2005 Chevy Express Van the Draw Tite hitch part # 41946 would be what I recommend as it has plenty of towing capacity at 10,000 lb capacity, is a custom fit, and is priced good.
