We actually have a video of the Tekonsha P2, # 90885, being installed on a 2006 Chevy TrailBlazer that has the same wire colors as your 2008. They have found that the dark blue wire will connect to the brake controller blue wire for output to the 7-Way trailer connector.
The orange wire should be the 12 volt power from the battery. You can use a circuit tester like # 40376 to be sure. It connects to the brake controller black wire. It provides power for the controller.
The light blue wire should be for the input from the brake switch. This tells the brake controller that you are stepping on the brake. If you test the wire, it should only show a signal when the brake is pressed. It will connect to the brake controller red wire.
The last wire should be the ground wire. It will connect to the white wire on the brake controller. I have included a link to the installation details for the P2, and I have included a link to the video showing a typical installation.
