Installing a hitch on your 2011 Cruze will not have any warranty implications if the hitch is installed as outlined in the instructions and used within the weight bearing capabilities of the vehicle.
Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
If you were going to use the hitch only as an attachment point for a bike rack or other hitch-mounted accessory, the Draw-Tite Class I Receiver Hitch, part # 24882 would be a great choice. Keep in mind, a Class I receiver will have a stop welded or punched into the receiver to prevent accessories meant for Class II receivers from being used. You would need to use a bike rack specifically designed for a Class I receiver.
The only other items that would be necessary for towing would be a ball mount and the wiring harness, part # 118508.
The appropriately sized trailer ball would also be needed. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use part # 3594. For a 2 inch ball, you would need part # 19258.
I will provide links to the installation instructions for the hitch as well as the wiring harness.
